Bogor, 3 July 2026 – The Accounting Programme, Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB), Djuanda University (UNIDA) Bogor has once again demonstrated its commitment to advancing the internationalisation of higher education by organising a Visiting Lecture Series in collaboration with the Faculty of Accountancy, Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Malaysia, on Friday, 3 July 2026.
This academic event, held online via Zoom Meeting, featured Dr Sharipah Norhafizah FPN, a lecturer at the Faculty of Accountancy, Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Malaysia, as the keynote speaker. Centred on the theme ‘Sustainability Through Accounting’, the event served as an academic forum to broaden students’ understanding of global developments in accounting in support of sustainable business practices.
The guest lecture was attended by fourth- and sixth-semester students on the Accounting Programme who are taking the courses Accounting Theory, Financial Accounting and Auditing. This event forms part of the academic collaboration between the Accounting Programme at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Djuanda University, and the Faculty of Accountancy at UiTM, Malaysia, with a view to enhancing the quality of learning from an international perspective.
In her presentation, Dr Sharipah Norhafizah FPN explained that the accounting profession plays an increasingly strategic role in supporting sustainable development. The topics covered included the concepts of Green Accounting and Sustainability, the disclosure of environmental aspects in financial statements, and the role of accountants in creating sustainable corporate value through responsible reporting and governance practices. The discussion was interactive, with great enthusiasm from the students, who actively asked a range of questions regarding the implementation of sustainability accounting in both Indonesia and Malaysia.
The Head of the Accounting Programme at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Djuanda University, Dr Indra Cahya Kusuma, S.E., M.Si., stated that this event forms part of the Accounting Programme’s internationalisation strategy, whilst also representing an effort to enhance the quality of graduates so that they are able to compete at a global level.

We hope this partnership will continue to grow through various other academic programmes, such as joint research, staff and student exchanges, and the development of curricula relevant to global needs.’
As well as gaining international academic insights, students also have the opportunity to engage in direct discussions with academics from abroad, expand their international networks, and receive a certificate of participation as a token of appreciation for taking part in the event.
