Faculty of Economics Business - UNIDA

History

The Faculty of Economics and Business is one of the faculties that organizes academic activities at UNIDA. It operates under the auspices of Yayasan Pusat Studi dan Pengembangan Islam Amaliyah Indonesia (YPSPIAI), which organizes undergraduate education programs. It was established to meet the growing demand for human resources in economics and business, which is currently expanding rapidly due to globalization and digital development.

The Faculty of Economics and Business was founded in 1987 when the S1 Management Study Program opened.  An undergraduate accounting program opened one year later, in 1988. Since the 1997 academic year, employee class lectures have been offered for the Management Study Program to provide opportunities for employees and young entrepreneurs who want to increase their knowledge in the academic field. These were later followed by employee classes for the Accounting Study Program.

The Business Management and Accounting Economics Self-Accreditation Institute (LAMEMBA) has accredited both the Management and Accounting study programs. The Management Study Program has "excellent" accreditation through LAMEMBA Accreditation Decree No. 1141/DE/A.5/AR.10/IV/2024, dated April 5, 2024, and the Accounting Study Program has "the best" accreditation through LAMEMBA Accreditation Decree No. 327/DE/A.5/AR.10/IV/2023, dated April 10, 2023.

Through educational activities, research, community service, divinity, and professionalism, the Faculty of Economics and Business carries out Pancadharma. The faculty is expected to produce Management Study Program graduates who are experts in management science and can manage medium-sized companies or be managers in large companies. These graduates can also identify business opportunities that lead to independent entrepreneurship.  Meanwhile, graduates of the accounting program are expected to have strong analytical skills and to play a role in the financial management and supervision of various companies.
