The Management and Islamic Economics programs at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Djuanda University, Bogor, once again held a “Practitioners in the Classroom” event for the Marketing Management course on Tuesday, May 12, 2026. This event featured Ilham M. Wijaya, S.E., M.PWK, a practitioner and expert in the fields of investment and real estate, speaking on the topic “Global Investor Marketing Strategies in the Real Estate Business.”
This “Practitioners in the Classroom” program is part of the faculty’s commitment to providing a learning experience that is more practical and relevant to the needs of the business world. Through these courses, students gain firsthand insight into global marketing strategies, real estate investment, and the ever-evolving dynamics of international business.
In his presentation, Ilham M. Wijaya explained that global marketing in the real estate industry is not only about international promotion, but also involves access to global capital, building a brand’s reputation across borders, and positioning projects as investment products. Students were also introduced to strategies for attracting global investors, the investment pitching process, and case studies of international real estate investments.
This event was led by the instructors of the Global Marketing Management course: Dr. Yulianingsih, S.E., M.M., Dr. Titiek Tjahja Andari, Dra., M.Si., and Wildan Munawar, S.E.I., M.A. The participation of industry professionals is expected to broaden the students’ perspectives through real-world experiences from the professional world.
Dr. Yulianingsih, S.E., M.M., Head of the Management Study Program at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Djuanda University, Bogor, stated that the “Practitioners in the Classroom” initiative plays a vital role in enhancing students’ competencies so they can gain a more comprehensive understanding of global business developments. In addition to strengthening their theoretical understanding, students are also encouraged to develop analytical skills, business communication skills, and the readiness to tackle challenges in the international industry.
Through this activity, students in the Islamic Management and Economics Program are expected to become more motivated to develop global competencies, expand their professional networks, and adapt to developments in the modern business and investment world.
