Launching of the Community Service Program (PkM) in Babakan Madang Village

Babakan Madang, July 22, 2025 As a concrete manifestation of the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, students from the Management and Accounting Study Program officially began their Community Service (PKM) activities in Babakan Madang Village, Bogor Regency. The opening of this program was marked by a ceremony for the handover and acceptance of students, which took place at the Babakan Madang Village Hall in a warm and supportive atmosphere with the participation of various elements of the community.

The opening ceremony was also attended by the Head of the Village Council, the Head of the Community Empowerment Agency, the Head of the Village-Owned Enterprise, the Head of the Youth Organization, the Heads of Hamlets 1 to 4, the Heads of Neighborhood Associations and Community Associations throughout Babakan Madang Village, PKK cadres, Posyandu cadres, and other village officials. Their presence reflected their shared commitment to supporting students in directly contributing to the development of the village's potential.

With the theme “Empowering MSMEs through the Revitalization of MSME Products as an Effort to Improve the Economy of the Community in Babakan Madang Village,” this program focuses on strengthening local MSME players so that they can improve product quality, expand marketing, and improve business management. Students are expected to become flexible and responsive partners to the community's needs, so that the program's outcomes can have a sustainable impact.

In his speech, the PKM Chair expressed his appreciation for the warm welcome from the residents of Babakan Madang. He emphasized the students' commitment to learning and sharing knowledge, inviting all parties to work together to ensure the program runs optimally, and hoping for continued guidance and support from the community throughout the service process.

Similar support was expressed by Field Supervisor (DPL) Susy Hambani, S.E., M.H., who in her speech expressed her gratitude for the warm welcome from the Babakan Madang Village Government and the entire community. He emphasized the importance of learning opportunities through real interaction in the community, and hoped that students could adapt their work programs to the actual conditions in the field. Ms. Susy also advised that the trust given by the community should be maintained as best as possible in order to achieve common goals.

Meanwhile, the Head of Babakan Madang Village, Ir. Deni Nugraha, welcomed the PKM students in his speech. He hopes that this synergy will be able to advance the potential of village MSMEs, which actually have quality, but still need support in terms of marketing and business management. He also emphasized the importance of communication and cooperation between students, village officials, and the community so that each program runs on target and brings long-term positive impacts.

As a symbol of the program's commencement, the ribbon-cutting ceremony was conducted by the Village Head in the presence of invited guests and students. This moment marks the beginning of a series of community service activities that are expected to bring new hope for the economic progress of Babakan Madang Village.

The event concluded with a joint prayer and a documentation session that captured the spirit of unity among all parties to continue developing the village through assistance and empowerment of local MSMEs.
