Students from the Community Service Program (PKM) at Djuanda University conducted a community service activity focused on SME development in Sumur Batu Village, Babakan Madang Subdistrict, Bogor Regency, on Friday, July 25, 2025, at 9:00 AM.
This activity was officially opened in Sumur Batu Batu Village, Babakan Madang Subdistrict, marked by a ribbon-cutting ceremony by the head of Sumur Batu Village, H. Adi Nurhimat, SE. The PKM program began with remarks from the RT/RW, DPL Lecturer Group 06, the Head of Sumur Batu Village, and a brief presentation on PKM in Sumur Batu Village by the Chair of the PKM Group. Then the ribbon cutting and closing.
Thematic PKM program activities aimed at improving the capacity of village micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in facing the challenges of the modern market and digitalization. The program is implemented through various activities such as digital marketing training, product branding assistance, and simple financial education for business management.
The coordinator of Sumur Batu Village, Muhammad Rizki Ramdani, explained that this activity is a tangible manifestation of the students' contribution to developing local economic potential. "We see that MSMEs in Sumur Batu Village have high-quality products, but they are still limited in terms of marketing and packaging. Through this program, we want to help MSMEs move up the ladder and be able to compete in a wider market," he said.
"From the Babakan Madang subdistrict, Sumur Batu village is the smallest village. Sumur Batu village is divided into two zones: Bukit Asri and the rest of the cluster. So, if you look at the remote areas, there is a huge social gap. And I am very grateful for the presence of Unida students who are conducting community service activities in our village, which will help us find solutions to the problems in Sumur Batu Village," said the village head.
The PKM activities ended with the launch of the “Village Leading Product Outlet,” which showcased the works of assisted MSMEs. These products are expected to be marketed more widely through digital platforms and local exhibitions.
Through this activity, it is hoped that the synergy between universities and rural communities can continue to be maintained to support sustainable rural economic development.
