Group 7 of the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) at Djuanda University (Unida), Bogor, conducted a survey at the Community Service (PkM) location in Karang Tengah Village on Wednesday, July 16, 2025. During the survey, they identified strategic locations for development and uncovered the challenges faced by the local community. The PkM was monitored by Group 7 Chair Muhammad Saepul Adnan, with members Tubagus Maulana Ibrahim, Simaludin Ardiansyah, Elma, Davina Aslamy Pasha, Mariam Mahmudah, Siti Zuhur Hanifah, Arsya Putri Janita, Siti Nuralfina Putri, Fuji Tri Ramadani, Novita Sari, Muhammad Ari, Marathuzzahrah, and Nenah, along with the Field Supervisor (DPL), Awa, S.Sos., MM.
After conducting a survey in Karang Tengah Village, Group 7 identified several areas of potential that could be the main focus of the work program, such as coffee and chips (taro and banana). However, various problems faced by the local community were identified, such as inadequate tools and machinery, branding, and packaging that had not been fulfilled.
On Saturday, July 19, 2025, Djuanda University held a PkM graduation ceremony for the 2022 FEB class. In this community service activity, there were 12 groups spread across two subdistricts, namely Babakan Madang Subdistrict and Sukaraja Subdistrict. The main theme was “Strong MSMEs, Great Villages: Increasing the Competitiveness of Local Products Towards a Resilient Indonesia with Digital Competitiveness.”
Djuanda University Bogor officially launched its 2025 Community Service Program (PkM) in Karang Tengah Village on Wednesday (July 19) at 10:00 a.m. Western Indonesian Time. This inauguration ceremony marks the beginning of a strategic collaboration between the academic world and the village community in supporting the digitalization of MSMEs based on the potential of local products. This activity starts at 8:00 a.m. and ends at 10:00 a.m. After the farewell ceremony at the campus ended, the team departed for the Karang Tengah Village command post location together with all members of group 7.
On the fourth day, Wednesday, July 23, 2025, Group 7 held a ceremonial welcome event at the Karang Tengah Village Hall. The event, attended by DPL officials, PkM student participants, the village head and his staff, as well as community leaders, carried the spirit of “Practical Knowledge, Scientific Action.” This PkM program focuses on empowering MSMEs, developing agropreneurship, providing digitalization training, and improving financial literacy among the community.
“The PkM programs that will be implemented are digital training, digital marketing, and digital finance,” said Mr. Awa, S.Sos., MM. These three programs are designed to encourage the community, especially MSME players and local farmers, to be more adaptive to technological developments and able to manage their businesses in a more modern and efficient manner.
Meanwhile, the Head of Karang Tengah Village, Mr. H. Suhandi Widyapranata (represented by Mrs. Ade as Village Staff), welcomed the students. He hopes that this collaboration will bring concrete benefits to the community, particularly in advancing local MSMEs and the potential of village agriculture. “We realize that our presence here is not only to learn, but also to contribute in any way we can to the progress of this village,” said the head of PkM Group 7 of Karang Tengah Village.
The 2025 PkM activity is scheduled to take place over the next 30 days with various thematic programs, such as training in agricultural product processing, digital marketing of local products, and environmental education. The spirit of mutual cooperation and innovation is the main foundation in every implementation. With a spirit of collaboration and dedication, Djuanda University continues to demonstrate its commitment as a strategic partner of the community in developing villages from the periphery towards Indonesia Emas 2045.
