Cimandala Bogor, July 29, 2025 As part of efforts to organize intensive training activities for local Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Cimandala Village, the Community Service Team (PKM) Group 11 from the Faculty of Economics and Business at Djuanda University, along with Ms. Dewi as the official MSME mentor, officially began the initial data collection process. This activity is a crucial step in ensuring that the training provided is truly in line with the needs of local businesses. This training program is planned to cover four main topics: Digital Marketing, Personal Branding, Digital Finance, and Product Innovation. These four topics were selected to address the real challenges faced by MSMEs in the digital era, from marketing products online, building a strong business image, managing digital finances wisely, to innovating in order to remain competitive.
Before the training began, data was collected using a form containing information on the identity of the MSMEs, the products they sell, the licenses they hold, and their development needs. The form is available in print and online formats. For those who choose the online version, assistance will be provided to ensure that the filling process runs smoothly.
“This data collection is the foundation. We don't want the training to be merely ceremonial. We want to know specifically what Cimandala MSMEs need so that the training can have a direct impact," said Reza, head of the PKM Team.
Then, as part of a measurable approach, the training will be accompanied by pre-tests and post-tests to determine the progress of participants' understanding before and after the training. Thus, the material is not only conveyed, but also ensured to be well absorbed. Ms. Dewi, coordinator of MSMEs in Cimandala Village, welcomed this initiative. According to him, many business owners in his village have products with great potential, but they still lack information and confidence to develop themselves.
“Their products are already good, but most of them are still hesitant to move on to the next stage. With this data, we can see what is needed to make the training more targeted,” explained Ms. Dewi.
The series of activities will also include product evaluation sessions, interactive quizzes, awards for active participants, and educational visits to honey farms as inspiration for innovation in businesses based on local natural resources. Registration and data collection will take place over the next few days. After that, participants will receive complete information about the training schedule and things to prepare, including bringing their respective flagship products to be discussed in the training session. Through collaborative spirit and a needs-based approach, the PKM Team hopes that this activity will spark new enthusiasm for Cimandala MSMEs to grow, innovate, and prepare themselves to face the challenges of the business world in the digital era.
