Assalamualaikum. Wr. Wb. EFFORTS TO DEVELOP PRODUCT PACKAGING FOR THE WAJIK IBU OOT HOME INDUSTRY BY DJUANDA BOGOR KKN STUDENTS. Students of the Real Work Lecture (KKN) Group 17 of the Faculty of Economics (FE) of Djuanda University Bogor, accompanied by Field Supervisor Mrs. Yulianingsih, SE, MM, helped develop the wajik business in Cimande Village (July 26, 2022). This activity is motivated by the lack of knowledge of business actors about marketing strategies and financial bookkeeping for the business they are running. For a business, the packaging label on a product is very important. With packaging labels, the products sold will be more easily recognized in the market. Therefore, applying product labels on packaging is highly recommended to help develop a business. Apart from packaging labels, financial bookkeeping is also important in a business. Even though the business is still relatively small or a beginner, knowing and applying how to make financial bookkeeping will help business owners to move up. However, there are still many Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) traders who are still not aware of the importance of packaging labels and financial bookkeeping for their businesses. For example, Mrs. Oot has not implemented packaging labels and financial records in her business. So that she does not know exactly how much profit or loss is experienced every day. In response to this, KKN Group 17 students from the Faculty of Economics, Djuanda University Bogor, went directly to the owner of the Wajik business, Mrs. Oot, to conduct socialization about packaging labels and training in making simple financial reports. The first activity was carried out by conducting socialization with Mrs. Oot about the importance of branding with packaging labels. Then proceed with the design of the packaging label assisted by KKN students. Before making the packaging label design, students first discussed with Mrs. Oot about the shape, color, and information to be applied to the packaging label. that they want to apply to the product packaging label. After the label design was completed, KKN students immediately printed the label and immediately applied it to Mrs. Oot's wajik packaging. In addition, students also provide the packaging label design in the form of a soft file so that Mrs. Oot can duplicate the label independently in the future. The second activity, students conducted training on simple financial records for Mrs. Oot. This simple bookkeeping training aims to increase understanding of the process of making simple financial bookkeeping by providing several examples of economic transactions and how to complete them and distributing debit/credit cash books to Mrs. Oot to facilitate them in the journaling process. The target to be achieved in this activity is the emergence of awareness for business actors about the importance of making simple financial bookkeeping regularly in each period of their business, then the knowledge and information conveyed can be utilized and applied properly for the sustainability of their business and economic progress. Hopefully everything you have given can be useful for me and my diamond business in the future." Said Mrs. Oot as the owner of the wajik business.
