On Saturday, August 3, 2024, students from the Community Service Team (PkM) at the Faculty of Economics and Business at Djuanda University held a management science socialization event at the Darul Ahkam Health Vocational School's Religious Hall in Gunung Endut Village, Kalapanunggal District, Sukabumi Regency. This activity is part of the PkM team's program to implement the five dharmas of higher education, specifically community service.
This socialization event was attended by MA Darul Ahkam students, the SMK Kesehatan Darul Ahkam student council board, the principal, teachers, and staff. The main purpose of the event was to apply management theories learned in class. The PkM team took this opportunity to promote Djuanda University by providing information about campus profiles, faculties, study programs, facilities, scholarship programs, student organizations, and student activity units through presentations and Q&A sessions.
The event was hosted by Luqman Hakim and Siti Shabila Wenintias, who are both students in the Management Studies program. The program began with a recitation of holy verses from the Quran by student representatives and administrators from the MA Darul Ahkam student council. This was followed by remarks from the Head of the PkM Group, Muhammad Akhsan; the Principal, Mr. Mansur, represented by the Deputy Head of Curriculum, Mr. Endang Suherman.
The Head of Curriculum at Darul Ahkam Health Vocational School said in his remarks that management science relates to all aspects of life, including self-management, environmental management, social management, and work management.
"All knowledge has its own benefits and gifts, including management science. Even though our school has a health department, management science is still needed, especially for SMK Kesehatan Darul Ahkam students. Hopefully, through the socialization of management science, students will better understand what they learn in lectures and be able to apply it at school." Said Mr. Endang Suherman.
The core session of socialization activities continued with a presentation about management science by PkM team members Delia Luthfiany and Muhammad Akhsan. The PkM team students also conducted promotions and question-and-answer sessions with students from the Darul Ahkam Health Vocational School on this occasion.
This activity demonstrates the commitment of the students in the Faculty of Economics and Business at Djuanda University to applying their knowledge to better society and strengthen relationships with their surroundings.
To make socialization activities more exciting and interesting, the PkM Student Team conducted a game session with SMK Kesehatan Darul Ahkam students and provided prizes. Then, as part of the event's conclusion, the team provided souvenirs and held a documentation session.
