Saturday (January 31, 2026) This International Community Service activity began with a Community Service Seminar: Malaysian-Indonesian Business and Academic Association, held at Bis Point EDC, Level 6, Muara Building, Selangor, Malaysia. The target partner for this community service was Community Service with the Indonesian Migrant Children Association (PARI) under the auspices of the 2026 Malaysia-Indonesia Trade Association Council. The seminar featured a lecture by Ds Karl Ibrahim (Founder of Millionaire Mind Power), with the theme “Creating the Mind of a Future Business Millionaire”. This was followed by the signing of an MOU between ASEANACA, MIMTC, and The Chambers. The event concluded with a visit to the PKS Malaysia-Indonesia sales booth (networking session). The PARI has a membership of 1,600 people.
Type of business: culinary, crackers. There is a PARI administrator, who is a member of the Indonesian Madura Association. The MSME actors visited were food stalls selling various Lamongan Soto, meatballs, chicken and catfish Penyet, Cendol, and crackers. Challenges faced by SME operators include limited capital, manual cracker production technology, and the absence of effective marketing strategies. Additionally, obtaining permits to operate a business, particularly as street vendors, remains challenging for Indonesian migrants due to bureaucratic hurdles in Malaysia. To stimulate marketing strategies, Djuanda University organized a bazaar for SME operators specifically for the Indonesian Migrant Children Association (PARI). This initiative serves as tangible evidence that academic contributions play a role in addressing real-world issues within the global community.
